Camp Wellstone
This 2.5-day training combines lectures from highly experienced trainers, stimulating exercises, and interactive simulations. The goal is to help youth organize around issues that matter, help build campaigns for the future, and elect progressive candidates to office. Camp Wellstone is divided into three tracks.  1) Citizen activist track: for people interested in citizen lobbying, issue advocacy, and community organizing, this track provides skills in how to win on issues. 2) Campaign track: this track focuses on how to be an effective staff or volunteer member of a winning progressive campaign. 3) Candidate track: this is for people who have made the decision to run for office. The cost of Camp Wellstone is based on a sliding scale based on ability to pay.

CPL - Voter Mobilization Trainings
The Center for Progressive Leadership and Wellstone Action are partnering to offer weekend trainings for grassroots progressive activists, organizers, and campaign staff who are working to advance progressive political change. Potential locations for trainings include Pennsylvania, Michigan, Colorado, Ohio, Florida, Wisconsin, Washington, Virginia, Nevada, Missouri, New Hampshire, and Maine These trainings will provide local leaders with the core skills and knowledge that they need to make an impact in local and national politics. The training curriculum will focus on preparing participants for effective civic engagement in the 2008 elections, and include training and practice on targeting and direct voter contact, effective persuasion and GOTV, volunteer recruitment and management, managing phone and door operations, and message development and delivery.

Democracy For America Training Academy
The DFA Campaign Academy mission is to focus, network, and train grassroots activists in the skills and strategies to take back our country, manage successful campaigns or run for office themselves. With their 2 day weekend trainings, they’re building a grassroots infrastructure of skilled progressive activists in all 50 states.At the Democracy for America Training Academy, top campaign consultants with decades of experience give youth the skills to run a winning campaign. Topics include: field planning, voter contact, fundraising, communications, volunteer recruitment and more.

Emily’s Campaign Corps: Campaign School
Campaign Corps is a project of Emily's List. It is a national grassroots program dedicated to politically empowering young people. Each year, they train talented recent graduates and place them on targeted, progressive Democratic campaigns. Youth from all backgrounds are invited; participants receive a stipend and free housing during the campaign, with all travel expenses paid.

HRC Camp Equality
Camp Equality is an intensive, 2 day interactive training program that combines lectures, discussions, and real-life simulations. Camp Equality teaches both advanced and fundamental skills to help strengthen the impact our community has on elections. At the two-and-a-half day training, youth will have the opportunity to choose one of two tracks. 1) Advanced Track: Working on a Campaign: This track is designed for you if you are one of our more experienced campaign volunteers. This track teaches participants the modern mechanics of organizing for political campaigns. 2) Fundamentals Track: Working on a Campaign: This track is designed for you if you want to learn the step-by-step fundamentals necessary to be successful at the grassroots level. Topics will include: planning, volunteer recruitment, field, planning events, canvassing, earned media, and even writing a blog.

PolitiCorps Summer
PolitiCorps Summer is a political boot camp consisting of hands-on skills training, innovative public policy intensives, and real-world applications of leadership skills and campaign savvy.  PolitiCorps Fellows learn new ways of thinking about the world. But PolitiCorps is not just a school of thought; it is a place where Fellows learn by doing: they register voters, organize communities, vet public policy white papers, launch media campaigns, and, at the end of the day, make an impact. It’s the only program of its kind—a political immersion and leadership-training program designed to engage and prepare college students and recent graduates for a broad spectrum of progressive leadership activities.
